About me

I have been licensed as a German attorney  (Rechtsanwalt) since March 2008 and I am currently a member of the Pfälzische Rechtsanwaltskammer.

From March 2008 until June 2012 I had been a self-employed attorney within the joint practice of Küttner Rechtsanwälte in Zweibrücken.

Since July 2012 I have been a solo practitioner in Kaiserslautern. Before becoming a licensed attorney I have worked as a contract manager reviewing and drafting international contracts.

Since April 2013 I am certified specialist in intellectual property, copyright, trademark and competition law (Fachanwalt für gewerblichen Rechtsschutz).

I am both a German and an American citizen and I am fluent both in German and English. I provide consultations in English and  - like all German lawyers - I am authorized to counsel and represent clients in all of Germany.

Education

I studied law at the Saarland University in Saarbrücken and at the Heinrich-Heine-University in Düsseldorf and completed my legal clerkship in Düsseldorf, Cologne, at the German Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia and with the German Agency for Technical Cooperation (now GIZ) in Dar es Salaam, Tansania.

I passed the First German State Exam in 2003 (1. Staatsexamen = Law School Exam) and the Second German State Exam (2. Staatsexamen = Bar Exam) in 2006 at the Oberlandesgericht in Düsseldorf.
